The HIV/AIDS Forum of CCRDA was established in 2003; and currently, it has more than 90 member organizations. The forum has steering committee comprised of seven member organizations. It serves as a networking, partnership, and coordination platform by creating an enabling environment for member CSOs for their proactive engagement in the national response of ending HIV/AIDS as a public health threat by 2030.


The HIV/AIDS Forum of CCRDA strives to strengthen efforts of CSO member towards the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia through advocacy, partnership, and capacity building.


The HIV/AIDS Forum of CCRDA envisages civil society organizations to be strong and vibrant partners who have the capacity to actively contribute to HIV/AIDS prevention and control efforts in Ethiopia.

Strategic objectives

  • Facilitate achievement of the forum’s goals by defining and establishing vision, mission, objectives, strategic directions and activities.
  • Evaluate the applicability of the forum structures, operational modalities, and efficacy of the strategy of implementation.
  • Facilitate and conduct different activities based on the needs of the forum members.
  • Create a monitoring mechanism for the forum that will monitor its internal working process and outputs on a regular basis.

  • Organization of skill training workshop for members
  • Organization of panel discussion, policy dialogue, experience sharing workshop
  • Documentation of best practice of forum members
  • Compilation, documentation and dissemination of annual report of the forum
  • Promoting contribution
  • Representing CSOs on health and Health related plat forms

Member ship Criteria

Member ship to the forum is based on the following criteria:

  • Being registered at Agency of Civil Societies Organization and own legal entity to work in Ethiopia as CSO.
  • Work at least for one year in HIV/AIDS sector.
  • Willing to engage in the forum activities.
  • Abide by the law of the forum.
