Call for SPM Manual Development Technical Support

Dear Members,

CCRDA has secured capacity building grant for covering one time Technical Support for Strategic Plan Manual Update/Revision. If you are in need of such technical support, please submit your request/proposal officially to CCRDA – Capacity Building Team mentioning your area of engagement, and location.

Please note that all applications will be screened and reviewed as per the procedure and guideline of the CCRDA and the Donor. Therefore we urge you to apply within seven working days (on or before March 20, 2018) of this date and be noted that the applications will be entertained in first come first served manner.

Call for Proposals

Facilitator for Change (FC) is an Ethiopian resident charity organization working for the betterment of the lives of children and communities in Ethiopia.  FC has signed an agreement with a German based NGO named Kindernothilfe (KNH) to host a program called Micro Project Fund for the community Development Initiatives.

The program intends to support innovative projects of small and emerging NGOs that would benefit children in Ethiopia.

The following are special focuses of the program.

  1. Improving quality of primary education for children
  2. Promoting community based early childhood care and education
  3. Community based orphans care
  4. Income generating schemes for disadvantaged women and youth
  5. Child participation, child well being and child development

CCRDA Celebrates Good Practice Day

The Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Associations (CCRDA) celebrated NGOs Good Practice Day on December 28, 2018. President of FDRE, Dr. Mulatu Teshome, opened the exhibition in which members of CCRDA showed their activities.

Also on the occasion award trophies were awarded to winners of the main CCRDA Good Practice Competition and winners of the competition among projects implemented to support orphan and vulnerable children. Bole Bible Baptist Church, ASDA, EECMY-DASSC, ORDA, Self Help Africa won the top five positions in the main Good Practice Competition. Bethany Christian Services Global, Retrak Ethiopia, Christian Children’s Fund of Canada, ChildFund, Kulich Youth Reproductive Health and Development Organization, Meseret Humanitarian Organization were the top five winners of the competition among projects implemented to support orphan and vulnerable children.

In his opening speech, CCRDA Executive Director, Dr. Meshehsa Shewarega said CCRDA member organizations invested between 7 to 11 billion birr annually between 2011 and 2016 fiscal years. “This money has been allocated for key priorities delineated in the Growth and Transformation Plan and the UN Sustainable Development Goals,” he said.
