Deadline for Good Practice Competition Document Submission Extended to September 30, 2016

Dear CCRDA Member,

Once again CCRDA is pleased to announce to you that it is organizing the 2016 Good Practice Competition among its member NGOs/CSOs.

To be part of CCRDA’s Good Practice Competition, you only need to write a 2-5 pages information about your good practice either in Amharic or English, and submit it through email addresses This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or bring the hard copy in person at CCRDA headquarter, office number 106. The deadline for submission of the good practice document has been extended to September 30, 2016.

If you win in this competition, you will be awarded a trophy and a certificate. You will attract donors’ attention and win their trust, build the good image of your organization and the NGO sector in general, and share your good practice for further scaling up by other stakeholders.

The 2-5 pages good practice document should include brief explanation about your project under the following topics:

  • Background (some basic information about the project that you submit as good practice)
  • Innovativeness
  • Scalability
  • Sustainability
  • Gender sensitivity and inclusiveness
  • Programmatic alliance to national and international plans
  • Outcome/Impact
  • Networking and partnership (with various stakeholders in the course of implementing the good practice)

Call for Articles to be Published on CSO Journal Vol. III

CCRDA publishes an annual journal of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)/NGOs. The journal hosts researched and scientific articles written on various topics.

CCRDA has completed its preparation and is ready to select articles and publish the fourth volume of this journal. Articles written on the following areas could be contributed:

  1. NGOs and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Second Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP II)
  2. GO-NGO partnership
  3. The contributions of NGOs/CSOs to national development
  4. Strategic partnership between CSOs/NGOs and the higher education system
  5. Domestic resource mobilization for NGO/CSO work
  6. CSOs/NGOs and media relations in Ethiopia
  7. Prospective of the NGO/CSO and private sector partnership for development
  8. Ethical conduct, transparency and  accountability in the CSO/NGO sector
  9. Inter-CSO cooperation, harmonization and coordination
  10. The position and engagement of the Ethiopian CSO community in emerging national, continental and global development discourses and processes/ frameworks
  11. Any other articles which are relevant to the CSO sector.

Deadline for Registration for Second Round Postgraduate Diploma Program Extended to March 31, 2016

Dear CCRDA members Organizations,

It is to be recalled that CCRDA in collaboration with Ambo University has opened a PG Diploma program in Development Management in March 2014. The first batch of our candidates graduated on July 25, 2015. CCRDA has finalized preparations to resume its phase II PG Diploma Program in 2016. CCRDA is pleased to let you know that the deadline for the registration of the second batch candidates has been extended to March 31, 2016.

CCRDA invites your organization to send one candidate who fulfills the following requirements:

  • One  organization should be represented only by one candidate;
  • Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply;
  • CSOs working in remote or hard to-reach- areas, people with disabilities, HIV and health related projects/programs will be given high priority;
  • The candidate shall preferably be engaged in leadership position as well as in program/project coordination and management;
  • Shall have a minimum qualification of first degree;
  • At least two years of NGO/CSO experience and;
  • Committed to serve  his/her organization at least for two years after completing his/her study;
